Our Process
Although each project is inevitably slightly different, we like to work to a fairly strict process. We find that this helps to avoid confusion and enables our clients to know exactly where they stand. We also have a rigid sign off process, which again means that as a client, you know exactly what you are paying for and we know exactly what you expect from us. Below is our process structure upon which all our projects hang:

Step 1: Initial Briefing and Quote
This is where we have some tea pull up some chairs, take out our pens, shut up and listen to what you have in mind for us. We want to know more about you. Who you are, where you are at the moment, and where you want to go. We want to know what ideas you have and discover what you want. These initial discussions help us to understand your business and your goals.
Golden Ink Designs is about getting to know our client and keeping their relationship with us for the future.
After this initial contact we will then generate a quote for you. We will not start the project until this quote and its particulars are agreed. At this stage we will draw up a contract for your approval. This is so that you know what you are paying for and we will know exactly what we need to deliver. On some projects we may also require a deposit.
Step 3: Final Concept Agreement
When we have sent you these prototypes we like to talk you through the ideas behind them. We then listen to your views and feedback! Feedback is something very important to us. You tell us what can be developed or refined. Usually a couple of ideas will catch a client's eye and they might want them tweaking before they make a final decision. We then might have to go away and do these amendments.
After any amendments we should have a clear winning design.
Step 2: Concept Generation
Now we go away and do a little research. We research into aspects like what appeals to your target market? How can we best attract them? What are the competitions doing and how can we go one better? These are all things we will research in regards to your project.
Then we start work. We go through creative processes to generate ideas. We normally start sketching them on paper and then we transfer these initial ideas to computer.
As soon as these first design concepts are complete, we will send them by email.
Step 4: Implementation
So with the prototype concept agreed we then get on and implement it, applying it to the final output.
When we are finished we will send you a final proof of the work. This will need to be signed off before we send it to print. Once the project is complete, we can sleep safe in our beds knowing that our clients are happy with our work and that it's meets their needs!
